Krause Center for Innovation
KCI is a leading California professional development center for innovative educational technology. Their mission is to seek excellence as they maintain integrity in every aspect of operations, programs, and services., and to offer outstanding programs and services that support K-14 teachers as they learn to integrate technology into classroom instruction.
Resource Area for Teachers
Resource Area for Teachers (RAFT) is a non-profit organization that believes hands-on teaching is the best way for teachers to teach and students to learn. They provide creative hands-on activities, educational resources, workshops and inexpensive materials, (many donated by local businesses), to enrich pre K-12 education and community group programs. Their goal is to assist teachers, non-profits and community groups, by providing materials and ideas for day-to-day teaching and for supporting professional growth.
Puget Sound Educational Service District
Puget Sound Educational Service District (PSESD) serves school districts and state-approved private schools in Washington state. They offer technology services as assistance to schools and school districts in planning for educational technology; network services; software purchasing programs; web and software development; videoconferencing; and library and media services.
Bay Area Video Coalition
Bay Area Video Coalition, or BAVC is a nonprofit media arts center that was founded in 1976 by a coalition of media makers and activists who wanted to find alternative, civic-minded applications for video production. While the technology has continued to evolve, BAVC’s mission is to bring increased cultural and economic participation to underserved communities through media.
With generous support from Adobe, KCI, RAFT, PSESD, and BAVC provide more than 75 hands-on workshops and up to 6 Summer and Winter Institutes that train Adobe products. Classes are project-based and taught by a cadre of instructors including KCI staff and expert teachers from local districts.
